Over 60 Golf Courses and numerous tennis courts are available for play throughout the Sarasota area.

Bobby Jones Municipal Facility boasts 45 holes where the record for the British Course has been set at 62 by a local lad named Paul Azinger. That was back in 1980. Maybe your next round will be the new record.

You don’t have to go far for a friendly game of tennis, there are six lighted courts right there at Siesta’s Public Beach.

For Spectators, Sarasota’s baseball is the main attraction. ED Smith Stadium hosts the Baltimore Orioles spring training from mid February through March.

And, for more pro ball, head to Bradenton’s McKechnie Field for the Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training while the Bradenton Marauders fill summers with minor league play.

Only minutes north of the Skyway Bridge is St. Petersburg for a full season with Tampa Bay Rays. The Stadium is under roof and fully air conditioned.
